The Women Veterans Call Center will help you navigate VA, point you in the right direction, and connect you with the Women Veterans Program Manager at your local VA medical center.
This service is free and confidential, and you can call as many times as you need. If you are a woman Veteran you may call for yourself, or a friend, relative, or caregiver may call for you.
Call or text the Women Veterans Call Center at 1-855-VA-WOMEN (1-855-829-6636) or use the online chat feature. Women Veterans Call Center representatives are available Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET, and Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. ET, excluding federal holidays. If you contact the Women Veterans Call Center after hours and leave a message, you will receive a return call the next day the call center is open.
The Women Veterans Call Center is your resource for information about a variety of services and benefits that you have earned and deserve through your military service. The Women Veterans Call Center can be your first call to find out how VA can help you. No question is too big or too small, and every question is important. Examples of questions the Women Veterans Call Center can help with are:
- How to reconnect with VA health care if you applied a long time ago but never used your benefits
- How to connect with your local women's health contacts including your local Maternity Care Coordinator or Women Veterans Program Manager, who will assist in coordinating all the services you need
- How to find out what you are eligible for (including general questions about disability ratings) and other VA benefits like employment, education, and home loans
- How to refill your prescription or make an appointment

All Veterans regardless of gender may use the Women Veterans Call Center if they are seeking infertility treatment options, have experienced military sexual trauma, or have experienced harassment at VA.
Yes, anyone can use the Women Veterans Call Center, even if you are not registered with VA or enrolled in VA health care.
You should call the Women Veterans Call Center if you have any questions about VA services or health care available to women Veterans. You may also call the Women Veterans Call Center if you have concerns about your current VA health care services.
You may be considered a Veteran if you served on active duty in the armed forces of the United States and were discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable. You do not need to have wartime or combat experience to be considered a Veteran. Note that you may use the Women Veterans Call Center with any discharge status.

Yes. If you prefer, the Women Veterans Call Center representative can help coordinate care with your regular health care providers by connecting you with the Women Veterans Program Manager at the VA medical center closest to you.
When you call the Women Veterans Call Center, you will receive direct assistance from a trained VA Women Veterans Call Center representative. Representatives are here to assist you with your questions and concerns and provide you with resources. The representative will work with you to provide you with the best course of action. To better serve you, she may ask you to confirm information such as your name, telephone number, and address. Representatives can provide direct referrals for VA services and help fast-track appointments with a Women Veterans Program Manager.
As a woman Veteran, you have earned and deserve the best care anywhere. Women Veterans should enroll for VA health care benefits to ensure they receive the comprehensive benefits package offered through VA's national health care system. VA offers comprehensive medical care, including any necessary medical outpatient and inpatient services.
Veterans can apply for VA health care enrollment by completing VA Form 10-10EZ, which takes about 15 minutes. You can access the print form here or complete it online. VA provides a full continuum of health care, including comprehensive primary care (care for acute and chronic/long-term illness and gender-specific care), specialty care, mental health care, disease prevention and screening, emergency care, and women's health specialty care (e.g., advanced breast and gynecological care, maternity care, and some infertility treatments). In addition, VA offers services such as inpatient medical/surgical/mental health care, physical rehabilitation, substance abuse treatment, long-term care, and pharmacy benefits. Many women Veterans call the Women Veterans Call Center to learn about benefits and eligibility and to discuss issues they face like homelessness, maternity care, infertility treatment options, military sexual trauma, and environmental exposures.
Call the Veterans Crisis Line. Veterans and their families and friends can connect anytime, day or night. You can call, text, or chat online with caring, qualified VA responders. Many of them are Veterans or family members of Veterans.
